A quick guide to Stripe payments and processing
When setting up features such as Online Bookings, Online Vouchers, and Payment Links, Client Diary integrates with Stripe as its payment gateway.
Stripe pricing facts
- There is no cost to sign up and start using Stripe.
- Stripe charges 1.7% + 30c per transaction.
- Stripe fee reference: Stripe Pricing.
From October 2026, Australian businesses must not pass card surcharge fees on to customers. Client Diary documentation and setup guidance follow that rule.
How to set up Stripe
- Sign up directly via Stripe: Stripe registration.
- Or connect Stripe from within your Client Diary account using “Connect with Stripe”.

Client Diary processing fee
A 1.05% Client Diary processing fee applies to Payment Links.
There is no Client Diary processing fee on:
- Online Vouchers
- Online Booking Deposits
- ClientPay terminal
